Description

The Stay Strong Alloy V6.0 represents the next evolution of our alloy BMX race platform. Built around proven Stay Strong race geometry and developed with modern BMX racing in mind, the V6.0 combines stiffness, clean design and practical race-day functionality in one purpose-built frame.

From the butted alloy tubing and Smooth Welding construction to the integrated cable routing and size-specific dropout, bottom bracket and disc brake solutions, the V6.0 brings modern race technology throughout the complete size range.

Size-Specific Race Construction
BMX racing places very different demands on a frame depending on rider size, power and component choice. Rather than applying one construction throughout the complete range, the Alloy V6.0 uses size-specific technical solutions for Pro sizes and Expert XL & smaller frames.

Butted Alloy Tubing & Smooth Welding
All Stay Strong Alloy V6.0 frames are constructed using carefully selected butted alloy tubing, providing strength and stiffness where required while reducing unnecessary material.

The frame is finished using Stay Strong's distinctive Smooth Welding technique. The carefully finished weld areas create clean transitions between the tubes, giving the V6.0 its sleek, refined and aerodynamic appearance.

Combined with internal brake cable routing, the result is an exceptionally clean frame silhouette with fewer visible cables interrupting the lines of the bike.

Dropout System
The Pro-size V6.0 frames feature a 15mm rear dropout platform, developed to provide a strong and rigid connection between the frame and rear wheel.

Every Pro frame is supplied as standard with 10mm chain tensioner inserts, allowing riders to install a conventional 10mm rear hub straight out of the box.

Riders who prefer to use a 15mm thru-axle rear hub can convert the system by using the separately available Stay Strong 15mm Axle Kit.

For Expert XL and smaller sizes, the V6.0 follows the increasingly popular direction seen across modern BMX race frames.

These sizes feature a closed 10mm rear dropout, designed specifically for use with conventional 10mm rear hubs. The closed construction provides a secure and straightforward wheel installation particularly suited to younger and lighter riders.

Disc Brake Solution
On the Pro-size frames, the disc brake adapter is integrated into the chain tensioner insert, creating a clean and functional solution within the dropout system.

By combining wheel adjustment and brake positioning within the same system, the V6.0 provides a solid installation while maintaining the clean appearance of the rear triangle.

Pro-size frames are designed around a 140mm rear disc rotor.

Unlike the integrated system found on the Pro sizes, Expert XL and smaller frames use a separate disc brake adapter (comes with the frame).

These frame sizes are designed for use with a 120mm rear disc rotor.

Bottom Bracket
Pro-size V6.0 frames feature a modern T47 threaded bottom bracket system.

T47 combines the advantages of an oversized bottom bracket platform with the simplicity and serviceability of a threaded installation. The large-diameter interface contributes to a stiff bottom bracket area for efficient power transfer, while the threaded design makes installation, removal and maintenance straightforward.

Expert XL and smaller V6.0 frames use the globally established EURO BSA threaded bottom bracket standard.

Clean Internal Cable Routing
To complement the refined construction of the V6.0, the rear brake cable is routed internally through the frame.
