This disc brake adapter will allow you to fit a larger rotor on your rear BMX wheel e.g. to go from a 120mm to a 140mm rotor. That can be useful for two reasons, one to improve your braking power, two to create more space between your calliper and your wheel spokes so they don’t rub or catch. Some wheelsets need the extra space a larger rotor provides.
