If you have a 1" steerer tube forks but have a frame that takes a 1-1/8" steerer, then you either need to buy new larger 1-1/8" forks (recommended for riders that are jumping a lot) or you need to invest in a conversion headset. This adapts the 1" forks so they fit into the frame which is ideal for younger riders moving up from mini or micro frames to an expert sized frame.
